Occupational Health and Safety

Course details

This course will present an overview of the Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Legislation, Code, and Regulation. It will introduce the student to the 14 Principles of the Health and Safety Management System (PHSM). This introduction to solar construction safety provides information to help develop safe work practices for typical solar construction projects. 

Photovoltaic (PV) cell is the technical term for solar cell, which is used to convert sunlight directly into electricity. PV technology is being used to power homes and commercial buildings. The course will be instrumental in reviewing common hazards and safety techniques, and after completion, students will have the tools to help them create safety policies and procedures to ensure safety in the workplace.
