Dr. Sam Shaw named as President and Chief Academic Officer of Yellowhead Tribal College

Yellowhead Tribal College is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sam Shaw as its new President and Chief Academic Officer, effective June 13, 2016. Dr. Shaw is Managing Partner at William Shaw & Associates Management Consulting Inc., and currently serves as Acting Chair, Corporate Governance Chair and Vice-Chair of the Standards Council of Canada, Board member with GEM Inc., and Third Quarter.
Dr. Shaw has written articles and made presentations around the world on topics including leadership, governance, strategic planning, technology and human resource optimization. He has also been recognized for his work and contributions as the past recipient of awards such as Business Person of the Year, Leadership and others. He continues to teach part-time in the areas of organizational behaviour, human resources and corporate governance.
Prior to taking on his role at Yellowhead Tribal College, Dr. Shaw served as Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Affairs and Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration at the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), UAE, Vice President Policy Development with Encana Corporation, and as President & CEO of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT).

Claudia have three children: Clayton, Robyn, and Amanda.
