FIRST NATIONS STUDENTS

Eligible First Nations students may seek funding by contacting the Education Counsellor at their respective First Nation.

Métis students may contact the Métis Nation of Alberta or their settlement for funding options.

STUDENT LOANS

Students enrolled in Yellowhead Tribal College's Social Work degree or diploma, Indigenous Administration diploma, or Indigenous Environmental Stewardship & Reclamation diploma may be eligible for student loans.

If you are a resident of Alberta, you can apply for government loans online at studentaid.alberta.ca.

If you live outside of Alberta, apply through your home province/territory student aid.

Freehorse Family Wellness Society offers post-secondary funding on behalf of Indigenous Services Canada (ISC). The Post-Secondary Funding Program assists Alberta students whose status is the result of Bill C-31; students from Nunavut and the Northwest Territories with Indian or Inuit status are also eligible.
