Lee-Anne White, Indigenous Social Work Student

Lee-Anne knew she wanted to make changes in her life when she decided to come back to school at Yellowhead Tribal College.

“At a larger institution there’s too many students, you can’t get this kind of one-on-one help.”

As a student in the Indigenous Social Work program, she is excited to have the opportunity to guide others to make equally positive decisions in their own lives.

It takes commitment to balance the competing demands of her courses, working at her practicum at Poundmaker’s Lodge Treatment Centre, and being a mom of two. The amount of attention students receive at YTC makes this easier.
