Four Winds Digital Skills and Academic Upgrading Program

The Four Winds Program is a 20-week academic upgrading, essential skills and digital skils program focused on capacity-building to entering and succeeding in the workforce.

Program Details

The program includes basic academic upgrading in English, Math, and Introduction to Indigenous Studies. It will conclude with a four-week work placement.

Graduates will be supported in preparing for further study (UCEP, upgrading, or post-secondary, depending on the student's prior education) or entry into the workforce in a range of occupations.

Students are also supported by the wide array of services the College provides to help them on their learning path including tutoring, counselling, library services, and career exploration.

The next intake is for Fall 2024.

Admission Requirements

All students must be 18 years of age or older also must be out of school and work for at least a year or more. The Four Winds Program is offered in partnership with Alberta Works. Funding is available for eligible applicants.

All applicants must complete:

  • General Application Form
  • Complete Information Waiver
  • Interview with Program Coordinator
  • Provide official high school transcripts
  • Verified MyAlbertaDigitalID (MADI)
