Applying Indigenous Knowledge -- Selected Issues

Course details

This introductory selected issues course will assist students in developing advanced social work skills necessary for the ethical and effective generalist practice of social work. Students will have the opportunity to focus in depth on one specific issue: restorative justice. Students will have the opportunity to learn from experts in the field as well as practice their learning via role play activities such as talking circles, sentencing circles, family group conferencing, and alternative measure panels.
