Mental Health

Course details

This course is an excellent introduction to the field of mental health care for those with no previous experience. The course explores a "best practices" approach to mental health care that is grounded in Indigenous traditional practices. The goal of the course is to assist the student to develop evaluative, personal, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with individuals and families who fall on the continuum from mental health to mental illness which affects his/her functioning in some way.
